Beer tasting to mark the 125th anniversary of the fire brigade

Members of the Ostheim voluntary fire brigade recently had a rather unusual appointment in Oettingen. This time it was not their fire prevention skills that were in demand; rather their palate and taste buds were called for.

Representatives of the “Anniversary Committee” were given a warm welcome at the OeTTINGER Brewery premises by Ingrid and Pia Kollmar and Herbert Piechatschek, before enjoying the freshness and exceptional quality of the company’s “Festival beer”.
Ostheim voluntary fire brigade will be celebrating its 125th anniversary from Thursday, 14 May until Sunday, 17 May 2015 with a lively and varied programme of events. The anniversary celebrations begin on Fathers’ Day with the “Seven Years Gathering” and “Commercium Evening”. During the course of the day there vintage tractors will be on display, and a hike converging at a single point for different clubs will take place.
In addition to the “45s Party” on the Friday evening with Antenne Bayern DJ Florian Weiß, and a “Traditional Costume Evening” on the Saturday evening with the “Störzelbachern” playing, a festival procession will also march through Ostheim on Sunday.
The anniversary celebrations will conclude with a performance by the Southern German cabaret artist Bernd Regenauer (the man behind the “Butcher of Boggnsack”) on Sunday evening.
