FINAL EXAMINATION FOR BREWERS AND MALTSTERS

Oettinger Brauerei GmbH was selected by the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce to hold this year’s final examinations for brewers and maltsters.

Operations Manager Ludwig Metz and Training Manager and Master Brewer Jürgen Reiß therefore welcomed examiners and apprentices from throughout the South German region of Swabia region to the Oettinger brewery. This was a practical examination and all the brewery-specific knowledge required for this profession was tested at five different stations within the brewery: assessment of raw and auxiliary materials, monitoring of the brewing process, operation and maintenance of production and bottling plants, as well as maintenance and operation of dispensing equipment. However, a business approach and the issues of energy, the environment and hygiene, key aspects in this multifaceted profession, were also involved in this practical examination.

And the good news is that all the apprentices successfully passed. The hearty meal to which the brewery invited everyone then tasted twice as good.

Oettinger Brauerei GmbH sets great store by training. The most diverse training paths are therefore offered, including brewers and maltsters, food technology specialists, professional drivers and industrial clerks.
