Gotha: Sporty children and young people to benefit from the OeTTINGER personnel development program
Sport and exercise are especially important for children and young people. This is a view also shared by three colleagues from our Gotha site, who enjoyed the luck of the draw in the latest round of the OeTTINGER personnel development program. As a result, we have been able to support two sports projects for promising athletes and an initiative organized by a kindergarten booster club.
Ralf Sturmhöfel from the hospitality service was once an active basketball player and now helps out with the youth Bundesliga team at the Gotha basketball club. His donation of EUR 900 will be used to buy new tracksuits for the athletes.
Tim Warnicke and Mirko Wahl, both of whom work in the bottling department, each received EUR 800 for the projects close to their hearts.
Tim Warnicke will offer his donation to the Montessori kindergarten. The Montessori Förderverein Gotha e.V., which is the kindergarten’s booster club, will invest the money in new outdoor equipment and climbing frames for the kids.
For his part, Mirko Wahl will hand over his donation of EUR 800 to the Leinatal sports club, which will use the money to purchase two new small field goals for its sports facility in Catterfeld to improve training and game conditions for its members.Dirk Stüber, Technical Site Manager of OeTTINGER Brewery in Gotha, was on hand to present the employees with their symbolic oversized checks: “I am proud of the social engagement that my colleagues have shown. The projects they have chosen are worthy of our support and I am delighted that children and young people will benefit from the money we are donating.”
