Greater variety for beer-lovers: OeTTINGER enters into distribution arrangement with Molson Coors
International newcomers to the German beer market: OeTTINGER from Germany has agreed to become the distributor of certain Molson Coors beers in Germany in 2020. As a result, German consumers will be able to choose from an even wider range of products from April onwards and can look forward to new taste experiences. Alongside the familiar classic Coors Light, OeTTINGER will also be distributing Miller Genuine Draft, the Croatian market leader Ožujsko and Jelen, one of Serbia’s most popular beers, in Germany. These four internationally acclaimed premium lagers all rank among the market leaders in their domestic markets. The products are aimed at consumers who have perhaps already tried them on holiday and now want to enjoy them back at home. In addition, there are hundreds of thousands of people with international roots living in Germany who would certainly make the most of the opportunity to purchase products from their home countries.
Peter Böck, Managing Director of OeTTINGER and responsible for sales, says: “We are very much looking forward to this partnership, as a result of which we will soon be able to offer an even wider range of products with an international element. For beer-lovers in Germany, this means greater variety and the opportunity to experience new flavor profiles. The plan is to make our product range even more attractive to our young target group in particular.”
Neil Tonge, Regional Director Europe for Molson Coors, says: “I am delighted to enter into this long term strategic partnership on the German market with four of our iconic beer brands from around the world. We are glad that this will assist with our global ambition to delight the world’s beer drinkers in making these great brands available to more people.”
The generation of consumers aged 21 to 34 is above all very open to new drinks trends and enjoy choosing international beers from time to time. Due to their respective origins, these international beers also differ in terms of their composition and ingredients. As a result, they are ideal for anybody who is keen on foreign beers and on the hunt for new taste inspirations. Variety is the spice of life! The decision to expand the product range neatly reflects OeTTINGER’s credo of offering the right drink for every occasion: No matter whether you need the perfect drink for your next Super Bowl party or during the European Championship in football this coming summer, OeTTINGER has all the answers!
