Bavarian State Minister for Culture and Education honors OeTTINGER apprentice
Angelina Bucher, our apprentice in Oettingen, was recently presented with an award in recognition of her outstanding voluntary work by Prof. Dr. Michael Piazolo, Bavarian State Minister for Culture and Education, alongside 235 other students from schools of all kinds.
Angelina Bucher joined OeTTINGER as an industrial management apprentice in September 2020, before successfully completing her apprenticeship at the end of July this year. In her free time, she is a member of the Fessenheim voluntary fire service and head of the Fessenheim youth fire service. She also plays the organ at the protestant church and regularly helps to rescue baby deer in need.
In his opening remarks at the award ceremony, Piazolo highlighted the value of voluntary work: “People involved in voluntary work learn a lot that they can use in later life: This includes forming teams with other people, integrating themselves into these teams, and confidently working within teams. These well-known soft skills prove to be invaluable throughout a person’s entire life.” In addition to receiving thanks and praise for their dedicated service, the students attending the ceremony were also awarded a certificate and a medal as a symbol of special recognition.
We are very proud of Angelina and are delighted that, following her apprenticeship, she is now hard at work in the Accounts Receivable department.
