Latest YouGov consumer survey: OeTTINGER a top performer in terms of value for money in Germany
Germans value affordability – and they expect top quality at a reasonable price. OeTTINGER Brewery proves that top quality need not cost the world – day in, day out. Cutting-edge brewing technology at all four production locations in addition to constant, high-level investments in quality assurance systems ensure that OeTTINGER is top of the class in quality audits and has been awarded numerous prizes by the German Agricultural Society (DLG).
According to the opinion polling institute YouGov, OeTTINGER is one of the top German brands for value for money. The company welcomes this as an endorsement of its quality strategy. The study presented by YouGov in a recent edition of Handelsblatt placed OeTTINGER in second place in the beer category.
With an annual production of around 8.5m hectoliters, the OeTTINGER Group is one of the largest brewing companies in Germany. OeTTINGER distributes approximately two billion bottles and cans of beer, beer-mix drinks and soft drinks each year around the world. Headquartered in the Bavarian town of Oettingen, the family business was founded in 1731. A total of around 1,050 employees ensure the finest brewing quality at four locations: Oettingen (Bavaria, headquarters), Braunschweig (Lower Saxony), Gotha (Thuringia) and Mönchengladbach (North Rhine-Westphalia). Cutting edge production, forgoing expensive advertising and efficient direct distribution ensure that prices are kept low. OeTTINGER drinks are subject to comprehensive quality control. Moreover, the entire beer range has displayed the “GMO-free” label since March 2013, with OeTTINGER subsequently becoming the first brewery to be awarded membership of the Association of Food without Genetic Engineering e.V. (Verband Lebensmittel ohne Gentechnik e.V. – VLOG).
