MANAGEMENT COMPLETE – PETER BÖCK IS APPOINTED NEW SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR
The appointment of Peter Böck as Sales and Marketing Director now completes the Executive Board of the Oettinger Brewery. Alongside Dr. Andreas Boettger, who joined the company as Technical Director in November, and Bernhard Wenninger, who joined as IT, HR and Finance Director in December 2017, Peter Böck is now the third new face to join the Management of Oettinger Brauerei GmbH. Together with long-standing Managing Director Michael Mayer, the new management is now complete.
49-year old Peter Böck has decades of experience in the beverage industry. Before moving to Oettinger, he worked in marketing and distribution for Capri Sun AG in Switzerland.
“I am thrilled about this new challenge and look forward to taking forward the success of this traditional company with my other colleagues on the Management Board. Oettinger Brauerei is a thoroughly successful and down-to-earth company with a lot of potential. I am therefore optimistic about my new responsibility and would like to bring my targeted expertise in the beverage industry to the table,” explains Böck.
Producing around 920 million litres, the Oettinger Group is one of Germany’s largest brewing companies. Every year it bottles around 2 billion bottles and cans with beer, beer-mix drinks and soft drinks. The family-owned company, which has been based in the Bavarian town of Oettingen since 1731, now has a workforce of 1,050. Apart from end-to-end quality control, state-of-the-art production facilities at four different sites, two logistics centres and company-wide environmental awareness, the company also endeavours to provide attractive pricing – made possible by efficient direct sales. Oettinger products are sold across the globe. The entire range of beer has also carried the “GMO-FREE” seal since March 2013 – in the spring of 2015, the “GMO-FREE” and “Non-GMO” seal was also extended to export beers.
