New OeTTINGER license partner: Sarajevo Brewery
Sarajevska pivara d.d. (Sarajevo Brewery) is the new licensing partner of OeTTINGER Brauerei GmbH. The Bosnian brewery is now producing OeTTINGER Pils in 0.5-litre glass bottles in Sarajevo. The new OeTTINGER licensing partner had previously invested in its equipment and trained its employees. Further OeTTINGER beers, such as the OeTTINGER Hefeweißbier wheat beer, will be produced in Sarajevo in the long term. An expansion of the bottles/cans is also planned. In future the brewery will supply the markets in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia.
Sarajevo Brewery was founded in 1864 and, like OeTTINGER Brauerei GmbH, can look back on a long tradition. The brewery is the leading Bosnia-Herzegovinian company for the production of beer, water and non-alcoholic beverages. The “Sarajevsko pivo” brand produced by the brewery is one of the strongest-selling Bosnian-Herzegovinian beers on the market. “The brewery has now extended its range with a German quality beer by producing OeTTINGER Pils under license,” explains OeTTINGER International Technical Consultant Gregor Mauritz. “We look forward to a long-term and successful cooperation with a strong partner in the Balkan region.”
