OeTTINGER brewery promotes local history and sports clubs

Do good and spread the word! True to this mantra, OeTTINGER Brauerei GmbH has now for the second time presented awards to employees of the company who volunteer in their free time to help a non-profit making organisation or a special project. The commitment of four employees was recognised at the Braunschweig site as part of the company’s new staff development scheme.

Operations Manager Winrich von Bierbrauer thus handed over a symbolic cheque for €500 to Steffen Hinz (Sales/Regional Manager), who helps with the “VfL Schwerin e.V.” sports acrobatics club. €500 was also presented to Bernd Kordilla (Operations Controller) for the BV Germania Wolfenbüttel e.V. youth football team and Timo Vogel (Operations Controller) for the “Sportverein Grün-Weiß Vallstedt e.V.” Prellball section. A cheque for €1000 was presented to Iris Rautmann (Materials Management department) for the Harvesse Local History Association.

OeTTINGER Brauerei GmbH initiated its staff development scheme at the end of last year. It is to become an integral part of the company’s corporate culture. Since then €2500 has been available to every site every quarter. The money, which can be allocated as a lump sum or divided into smaller amounts, is to be used to support sporting, cultural or even charitable activities close to the heart of OeTTINGER brewery employees.

Meanwhile the third staff development round is already under way. New suggestions concerning a number of terrific projects are once again being submitted at the different OeTTINGER breweries. Any suggestions that could not be considered in the first two rounds of awards can also be included in the selection for the August award.
