QUALITY IS CLOSE TO MY HEART
As a Master Brewer with responsibility for Quality Assurance, my day-to-day job constantly takes me around all the different production sections within the brewery. My work involves quality control, starting with the raw material right through to the finished end product. It includes, among other things, checking goods-in and goods-out, monitoring the various production processes, analysing raw materials, like malt and brewing water, and analysing the finished beer. Naturally the daily tasting of the finished beer also forms part of quality control. After all, it’s has to taste right. However, it’s not just our good beers that are subject to quality controls: our lemonades and beer-mix drinks are subject to the strictest quality controls and are also tested in our laboratory. When all is said and done, no product leaves our brewery before it has been approved by Quality Control. The variety in my job and the really good working atmosphere with my colleagues motivate me onto greater things every day.
I PLAY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE WITH OeTTINGER
The OeTTINGER Brewery always fascinated me throughout my training to become a Brewer and Maltster. I had always wanted to play in the Premier League and finally I got there with OeTTINGER. The unique thing about OeTTINGER is that it has a really informal atmosphere, despite the size of the company, and the management has always adhered to its philosophy, despite the tough conditions on the beer market.
You can also feel this cohesion amongst fans of OeTTINGER beer. For instance, I chanced upon OFCN at our annual parish fair in Oettingen: the OeTTINGER Fan Club of Nuremberg! With printed t-shirts and a lot of fun, we celebrated our parish fair with our fans. It’s always such a nice experience to meet people who are satisfied with our products. That can’t but help fill you with a bit of pride.
I CAN’T MANAGE WITHOUT BEER OUTSIDE OF WORK
In my basement I have created a small, partly self-made mini brewery where I brew my own beer. But, to be honest, I still prefer drinking Original OeTTINGER Hefeweißbier.
