Young up-and-coming brewers

The OeTTINGER Brewery greeted its eleven new apprentices with a unique welcome. The apprentices were all invited to attend an “Apprentice Team Day” on their third day with the company.

Training Manager Jürgen Reiß explains: We wanted to use this day to ease our new apprentices into working life and make it a positive experience by giving them an opportunity to chat to “older apprentices”, thereby strengthening the feeling of being part or a big family.

The day started off with a cycle around Lake Brombach, followed by archery which required a lot of concentration. The apprentices then headed for the Forstquell Brewery in Fürnheim to bring an exciting day to a successful end.

Alongside the traditional “brewing” professions as brewers or maltster, the OeTTINGER Brewery also offers training as industrial clerks, food technology specialists, professional drivers and Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Beverage Technology degrees.

A great atmosphere at the OeTTINGER Apprentice Team Day. Currently all apprentice levels are being trained by Jürgen Reiß (Technical Training Manager) and Monika Strauß (HR Department).
